You’ve read the books, seen the films and perhaps even wished you were enrolled as a student at the legendary Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Well, welcome to Hogwarts – as the world of Harry Potter comes to the palms of your hands in the shape of LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 for Nintendo DS!

In LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and TT Games bring the first four stories (Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) to life in glorious LEGO style.

In LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4, you’ll lead characters through missions based on the world-renowned stories. Simply slide your stylus on the Touch Screen to guide the Harry Potter character of your choice through the game – making use of that character’s unique skills as you go. It's up to you to figure out who in your party has the right skills to solve the puzzles and complete the tasks that you encounter along the way. As you play through the story levels, you'll collect LEGO studs that act as currency to buy new characters and spells. Use these new characters to go back and replay any level – you may find that their special skills will unlock secret areas that were previously inaccessible!

You’ll travel to all the key locations in the wizarding world, though you'll be spending most of your time in the hallowed halls of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. There's plenty to discover and do in these corridors, and you’ll want to stop and say hello to everyone you meet – he or she might give you a task to add to your quest log, or an item to add to your inventory.

Not only can you play as the core characters (Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger), you can also play as pets (Scabbers, Crookshanks, etc.) or even as (gasp) villains! LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 features more than 100 playable characters to unlock and most have unique abilities. For instance, Harry has the Invisibility Cloak and can speak Parseltongue while Hagrid is stronger than other characters.

Of course, you’ll have to attend lessons to learn how to cast spells such as Lumos and Immobilus, and to Transfigure objects. You’ll need to use your stylus to tap on objects in your environment, then trace various “spell shapes” on the Touch Screen to cast the desired spell.
