Nancy Drew and the Deadly Secret of Olde World Park

System: Nintendo DS Release date: 01/02/2008

Billionaire Thaddeus Belmont is missing, and the Olde World Park project is in danger of collapsing without his financial support. Is he the victim of foul play or did he make himself disappear? Sounds like a case for teen super-sleuth Nancy Drew in her first Nintendo DS adventure.

In Nancy Drew and the Deadly Secret of Olde World Park, you play as the famed fictional detective Nancy Drew, using the DS Touch Screen to solve puzzles and discover clues to unravel the mystery surrounding the park.

Olde World Park, a multi-million dollar vacation spot celebrating history’s greatest civilisations, promises to bring jobs and tourism to the tiny town of River Heights. The park is the greatest undertaking of billionaire industrialist Thaddeus Belmont, but what should be Belmont’s crowning achievement has turned into his biggest tragedy. Rumours persist that the magnate may be going broke, and on the eve of Olde World’s opening, the usually boisterous billionaire hasn’t been seen or heard from in days.

To crack the case, you’ll need to follow a slew of suspicious suspects, sneak into areas and use your deductive-reasoning skills to progress through 15 chapters full of mystery that plays out like a graphic novel. Your interrogation skills will be put to the test in suspect interviews. Don’t expect people to spill the beans out of the kindness of their hearts. You’ll have to be at your interviewing best to get the information you need to solve the mystery.

  • Unique conversation mini-games help Nancy build a rapport with witnesses and suspects so she can learn critical information for the case. Nancy can even bribe a character if necessary.
  • Access clues, tasks, maps and inventory information using your stylus in Nancy’s Clue Journal. You can use the journal to check current objectives and discover new information, as well.
  • Nancy’s sleuthing calls for her to deliver information, solve puzzles, follow suspects, sneak around, interrogate suspects, inspect items and more.
