With SimCity DS, making your own metropolis breaks free from the PC screen and becomes a portable activity, allowing you to create your own city from scratch, bit by bit wherever you go. The game offers all the depth of its immobile cousin, but introduces full stylus control and makes excellent use of the two screens. You can see a detailed view of your city on the top screen, whereas the bottom screen displays the more abstract grids for you to do your work as a city planner. Life in the city is paused when you do your work on the bottom screen, putting more emphasis on decision making and less on furious clicking.
