The World Ends With You

It’s a race against the clock. A catastrophe of apocalyptic proportions is bearing down on Tokyo. Can you avert disaster or will the world meet its end? Featuring a unique visual style, infectious soundtrack and innovative usage of the Nintendo DS’s features, The World Ends With You will transport you to another world where only the hippest of heroes will be able to save the day.

You play the part of graffiti artist and fashion victim Neku, who awakens one day to discover a troubling message on his phone: Neku will cease to exist in seven days - if he fails the mission given to him. With his life on the line, Neku hits the backstreets of the city to fight for his survival.

You’ll lead Neku as he uncovers the dark truth behind his predicament, forging friendships along the way to stay one step ahead of a mysterious group known as the Reapers. Success will depend on mastering the game’s unique fighting system and overcoming the multitude of enemies that cross your path. Battles take place across both screens of the DS, with a huge range of special attacks activated by making the correct motion with your stylus on the Touch Screen or yelling the appropriate command into the DS microphone.

As you progress, you’ll accumulate incredible new powers that enable you to read minds, put words in people’s mouths or move objects that block your path. All the while, you’ll have to ensure that you stay ahead in the fashion stakes – how you look affects your performance in battle.

If your friend is up on the latest fashions, trading items with him or her via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection should help you stay stylish, whilst the Chance Encounter mode enables you to trade data with fellow game users you might bump into in the real world. You can also play action-packed mini-games that let up to four players share the unique experience of The World Ends With You together.
