Demonstrating the incredible potential of Game Boy Advance, Telegames' Back Track delivers a fully portable first-person shooter. Back Track is scheduled to be the first FPS available for Game Boy Advance, complete with an option-rich multiplayer mode. Staying true to its FPS roots, Back Track features a sci-fi storyline sprinkled with an ample dose of alien hostility. Controlling a maverick hero named Jim Track, players must prevent an alien overlord named Domingoaniax from completing the BSBODSOM project (Build Secret Base On Dark Side Of Moon). That's your excuse for annihilating as many bad guys as possible. You'll have nine weapons at your disposal, including a unique bubble blaster and suction device. The gameplay involves a lot of alien blasting, along with puzzle-solving and rescuing human prisoners from assimilation pods. One of Back Track most promising features is its multiplayer mode. Four players can compete in head-to-head blast fests, and if there aren't four players around you can toss a few CPU-controlled Bots into the mix. Solo gamers can compete against three Bots. For FPS fans looking for frag-fest fix on the road, Back Track will fill the bill.
