LEGO Batman: The Videogame

System: Nintendo DS Release date: 10/10/2008

KAPOW! Gotham City is overrun with scurrilous villains and it’s up to you to don the famous suit and cape and stand up against crime and world domination in LEGO Batman: The Videogame for Nintendo DS ! With a storyline based on the original Batman comic books, your mission is to take control of the dynamic duo, Batman and Robin, and capture some of the most notorious baddies of all time. The Joker, the Penguin, Two-Face and Mr Freeze are just a few of the criminal masterminds who threaten the lives of Gotham’s citizens and it’ll take every ounce of power you can muster to put them back where they belong, in Arkham Asylum.

Take advantage of special super-hero power suits that give you unique abilities in your battle against corruption and build LEGO vehicles such as the iconic Batmobile to satisfy your need for speed! There’s nothing like fighting the good fight and putting evil in its place – or is there?

Just as your caped crusade for morality is overwhelming you with righteous pride - BAM! - the tables are turned and you take on the altogether more sinister (though no less satisfying) roles of the villains! Revel in the wicked feeling of joy that causing mayhem and madness brings as you battle Batman throughout the city. It wouldn’t be a Batman story without the final showdown though – who will win this epic encounter?

Once you complete the exhilarating story mode in Lego Batman: The Videogame, you can go character-crazy in free mode, where you can unlock extra characters and access every secret area of the game. Ferret out those collectibles and earn your place in the superhero hall of fame! You don’t need to take on Gotham’s finest alone either – hook up with a friend in co-op mode using the DS local wireless network and fight for justice together!

  • Play as Batman, Robin, or more than 12 evil villains in one or two player cooperative gameplay
  • Build LEGO vehicles and utilize special gadgets
  • Customise your characters and build and transform the game environment
  • Featuring touch screen interaction, and two-player co-op mode using the DS local wireless network capability
