Build anything your imagination can dream up then tear it down in the brain-twisting Boom Blox! Created with the help of legendary film director Steven Spielberg, Boom Blox uses the unique features of Wii to let you interact with your surroundings in a whole new way.
The object of the game is simple: Destroy all the blocks you can see by hitting them with all you’ve got. To tear down constructions you’ll have to carefully target which block you want to knock out of the way then swing the Wii Remote to hurl something at it. The damage you cause will depend on how hard you swing the Wii Remote and how heavy the object you throw is. If the puzzle calls for you to move a block slightly without destroying it, you might want to take a gentle throw with a baseball – targeting the edge of the block to make it twist just a little. Or if you have mass-destruction in mind, let loose with some explosives and try to hit a block that will trigger a chain reaction. More than 30 different characters will roam around levels as you play, each one with different attributes that can be put to use as you bring the blocks down.
You can also dream up your own puzzles in Create Mode, building with the variety of blocks you have unlocked. Then, you can send your puzzle to a friend via WiiConnect24. A multiplayer mode also lets you play with up to three other players in versus or co-op challenges.
With more than 300 levels and the ability to create your own unique puzzles, Boom Blox gives you plenty of opportunities to unleash your destructive side!
- Throw, grab and blast! Use fun action gestures with the Wii Remote to cause strategic destruction in levels like Tiki-Tower-Topple and Medieval Mayhem.
- Unlock characters, worlds, blocks and props throughout the game and use them to build whatever you can imagine in Create Mode. Remix any level and share what you create with friends via WiiConnect24.
- Play with or against your friends in co-op, versus or four-player games.
A portion of the online services offered through the Wii console were discontinued on 28th June 2013. From this date, certain online software functionality that utilises WiiConnect24 – for instance, message/data exchange – will no longer be available for this title.
