Get set for the magic of the world's biggest sporting event as it comes home on Wii in Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games!

Featuring scores of Olympic events and some of gaming’s brightest stars, Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games takes you straight to the heart of the host city and into competitive action that up to four players can revel in together. With brand new events and  enhanced versions of previous favourites from the series, you’ll soon find yourself in motion with the Wii Remote as you go for gold!

For starters, you’ll need to pick your preferred character from a truly star-studded line-up. Go with an all-rounder like Mario, a super speedster like Sonic or powerhouse competitors such as Bowser and Knuckles. Certain characters are better suited to specific events, so be sure to check out the parameters outlining the skills of the 20 playable athletes on offer. Of course, if you want to get even closer to the action, you can choose to take to the track as your Mii character and really see yourself in record-breaking form!

When you’re ready to get out in front of the crowd you can look forward to multiplayer fun in over 20 Olympic events. Grab your Wii Remote and use it in a variety of ways to prevail - moving it with precise timing in events like Synchronised Swimming and Rhythmic Ribbon, or swinging it at high speed in the 100m Sprint and 110m Hurdles. Football, Show Jumping and Canoeing all make their Mario & Sonic debut, and with 10 additional Dream Events that put a colourful and creative twist on the athletic action, you’ll never be short of a challenge.

To truly give you a first-hand experience of the Games, Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games features a London Party mode that sees you hitting the iconic streets of the city and playing among its many landmarks. The aim of the game is to collect stickers and fill sticker sheets before your opponents – a goal achieved by beating them in events and minigames that will be triggered as you roam through London.

Add in great unlockable bonus content and online leaderboards that let you view the records of players around the globe, and you’re left with a fun-filled package that offers fun and excitement to friends and families everywhere.
