Once upon a time on Wii, a teenage tyrant and his loyal horde of Minions decided to unleash a senseless wave of devastation on all and sundry. Just because they could... If you're after a bedtime story, you've come to the wrong place. The traditional fairy tale world of wicked witches, big bad wolves and gingerbread men has been given a dark and seriously funny twist as Overlord Dark Legend arrives, with an all-new story, graphics and gameplay developed exclusively for Wii.
You'll play the aforementioned tyrant who decides to take his mind off his adolescent anguish by terrorising the local fairy tale community from his base at Castle Gromgard. But you won't be able to carry out a campaign of reckless looting, pillaging and general mischief without some very able assistance from your Minions. Alternately adorable and downright vicious, the Minions are your trusty agents of destruction. Point with the Wii Remote to send them charging to wreak havoc on a near-by village, or grab one and shake them until they have been transformed into a gibbering, highly-explosive threat to anyone foolish enough to get near them.
Minions come in four colours, each with their own skills. You'll have to decide which ones to use in a real-time strategy action game that's truly unique. Send your Brown Minions in to brawl with enemies while Red Minions hurl fireballs from afar, or use Green Minions to surprise the enemy with sneak attacks. If your Minions take a pasting, have Blue Minions on hand to heal them and send them back into the fray.
With gorgeous, richly-detailed graphics and a laugh-out-loud funny script, the quest for power and pure mindless destruction has never been so much fun. So grab your Wii Remote, summon your Minions and run rings round the local fairy tale folk. Just watch out for those gingerbread men...
