Check out the wealth of Add-on Content available for Fire Emblem: Awakening!

Whether you’re just starting out in Fire Emblem: Awakening on Nintendo 3DS or already have many hours of strategy combat under your belt, you’ll be pleased to know that the quest to save the Halidom of Ylisse from destruction continues through a host of Add-on Content! There’s a wide variety of extra missions, weaponry, allies and other goodies all waiting for you, both free to download and available to purchase.

Once you’ve progressed a little way into the game and unlocked the Wireless menu option from the World Map, you can start downloading free Bonus Box items via SpotPass. Each of the four categories that you’ll find in the Bonus Box offers something unique for your quest, and new content is added on a regular basis! Bonus Teams featuring legends from the Fire Emblem series can be added to your World Map and bartered with, fought against and even recruited to your own army. Bonus Items are unique weapons that can turn the tide of battle in your favour, while Bonus Maps extend your quest beyond the main adventure with additional chapters. Finally, Bonus Challengers can be faced in Double Duel mode, giving you the opportunity to earn extra experience points and some rare items.

You can also purchase a selection of Add-on Content that not only adds additional missions to your World Map and enhances the story with new chapters, but also gives you the opportunity to add powerful new heroes to your team if you emerge victorious. Unlike Bonus Box downloads, Add-on Content can be purchased once you’ve discovered the Outrealm Gate on the World Map; if you haven’t found it yet, you’ll need to continue on your quest for a little bit longer!

Each piece of Add-on Content contains a new mission to play through and can be purchased separately, or you can buy packs containing three related pieces of Add-on Content for a reduced price. Right now, you can add legendary heroes Marth, Roy and Micaiah to your team in the three Champions of Yore missions, enhance your abilities and earn extra money from missions such as The Golden Gaffe and EXPonential Growth, learn more about your units in the three Future Past missions and more besides. And with even more pieces of Add-on Content planned for the coming months, there’s a whole lot more excitement to discover!
