Fans of the French comic strip duo can 'Getafix' of their favourite Gauls in this Game Boy Advance Pak - which comes loaded with two different adventures.
In either of the two games (Asterix and Obelix or Asterix and Cleopatra), you can take control of either the diminuitive hero of the Gauls, Asterix himself, or the oversized menhir 'delivery boy', Obelix. Whoever you choose, your task is the same: piledrive through Caesar's legions, PAF!-ing and BIFF!-ing them all the way back to Rome.
The visuals spectacularly recreate the colourful world of Asterix - as you explore forests, negotiate treacherous mountains and ride logs down the Nile (as ancient Egyptians attempt to send you for a swim), Uderzo and Goscinny's creations are animated beautifully to create a portable living comic book. Even those familiar 'PAF!' and 'BIFF!' action bubbles pop up on screen every time a Roman soldier is on the receiving end of Asterix or Obelix's magic potion-enhanced fists.
The package is topped off with a range of exciting minigames - from ancient rugby to a race at the Olypmic Games. All of them, as with the main game, can be simultaneously played with two players using two Game Boy Advance and a Game Boy Advance Link Cable.
