Crash Bandicoot 2: N-Tranced

System: Game Boy Advance Release date: 14/03/2003

The bandicoot is back on Game Boy Advance in his biggest and best portable adventure yet. In this souped-up sequel to his hit GBA debut, Crash faces off against a new enemy, N-Trance. The hypnotic bad guy kidnaps Crash's marsupial mates and turns them into possessed zombies. Crash must traverse more than 40 action-packed levels, collecting crystals to build up enough power to return his pals to normal.

Crash Bandicoot 2: N-Tranced plays much like the GBA prequel - i.e. a side-scrolling version of Crash's console exploits - but with tons of new features. As well as the traditional side-scrolling adventure, certain levels see Crash strapping on a wakeboard and waterskiing away from a marsupial-eating shark. Or climbing into a metal Atlasphere and rolling through maze-like, danger-packed levels. Plus, Crash isn't the only bandicoot you can control. At certain points in the game you can hand over to Crash's sister Coco or the musclebound Crunch Bandicoot. And you'll need all the help you can get, as N-Trance has also created an evil copy of Crash that looks set to give our hero a run for his money.

If you're a Crash fan, there's even more to see. By linking Crash Bandicoot 2 to Crash Bandicoot XS using the Game Boy Advance Game Link Cable, you can copy across your old save file and use it to access goodies like extra multiplayer levels and new characters. Multiplayer levels? Yes, you can link up with a friend and battle head-to-head in the Atlasphere game or race through the regular platform levels to beat each other's time. Crash Bandicoot 2: N-Tranced brings you all the fun of the cool console version but in a form small enough to fit in your pocket/bandicoot pouch.
