Abe's odd world is not like ours, what with all those portholes to new areas and his ability to possess enemies by flatulence. In this Pak, the wrinkly hero who can telecommunicate with bones must make his way to Necrum, where the nefarious Glukkons are robbing the graves of Abe's Mudokon people. Much of the gameplay involves getting other characters to do chores for Abe or, in the case of fellow Mudokons, with him. Pressing the A Button and the Control Pad enables Abe to utter simple communications. "Hello!", "Wait!", "Work!", "Follow Me" and other commands will prompt your Mudokon buddies to stop daydreaming and help you flip switches, open doors and avoid the hideous Sligs. Besides curling himself into a tiny ball to roll through tight places, Abe has the unique ability to simply sneak past enemies without having to fight by tapping the Select button once. The one-of-a-kind control scheme, not to mention Abe's truly bizarre world, peg Oddworld II as a Pak for the older player. There are two difficulty levels, and, later in the game, the hilarious opportunity to possess and control the brains of both Glukkons and Sligs.
