New York City has been invaded, and only Spider-Man can save it from destruction in Spider-Man: Web of Shadows for Nintendo DS. You’ll play as Spider-Man and his Black Suit alter ego as you try to stop an alien invasion from bringing the city to its knees.
At any time, you can switch between the Red Suit and the Black Suit. Each form of Spider-Man has his own combat styles and powers, and you’ll need to determine which suit to wear during the different challenges you face.
As Spider-Man cleans up the city, he’ll need plenty of energy in the form of Orbs. Red Orbs from defeated enemies and destroyed objects replenish Spider-Man’s health, whist Blue Orbs give him more chances to recover after extreme exhaustion. When Spider-Man runs out of health, you’ll bring him back from the brink of death by playing the Exhaustion Mini Game, using the stylus to destroy Blue Poison Orbs and drag Health Orbs to Spider-Man.
Throughout the city, you’ll also find Upgrade Orbs. These special Orbs boost Spider-Man’s health, life points and damage-infliction statistics. Once Spider-Man maximises his attributes, he’ll be nearly unstoppable.

- Switch between the grace of Red Suit Spider-Man and the brute force of the Black-Suit, all at the push of a button.
