This is a fighting game released in 1997, and the sixth instalment in the Fatal Fury series. It based its system on previous games in the series, while introducing a more evolved 2-line battle, improving the power gauge system and abolishing the ring out system, among other changes designed to allow for a greater diversity in strategies.
In addition to the 15 characters featured in previous games (excluding Geese), new characters Tung Fu Rue, Cheng Sinzan, Laurence Blood and Wolfgang Krauser increase the roster to 19 playable characters, all truly deserving of the title "Special".
