DJ Hero

System: Wii Release date: 30/10/2009

It’s time to get the party started as DJ Hero cuts, scratches and spins its way onto Wii. Coming from the makers of the Guitar Hero series, DJ Hero includes a specially-designed turntable controller that brings you the full DJ experience as it puts over 100 wildly eclectic tracks at your fingertips. Legendary artists such as Beastie Boys, N.E.R.D., David Bowie, Blondie, 50 Cent and Nirvana are all in the mix, with tracks waiting for you to put your own unique spin on them.

DJ Hero offers all the excitement of really stepping up to the wheels of steel as you flip over the crossfader and get the crowd jumping. Use samples, scratch up a storm or add your own freestyle effects to really put your own stamp on the track. The turntable controller gives you intuitive control as you use the turntable buttons to scratch or use the mixer to flip from one track to the other, mashing-up the mix and sending the party wild.

While you can put in the hours practicing solo and perfecting your technique, to really get the full DJ experience, you’ll have to face the crowd. DJ Hero is the perfect party game, and you can take on friends in battles for beat-mixing supremacy or team up to craft the perfect mix. The unparalleled realism is further amped-up with real-life DJs making exclusive appearances, including turntable wizard DJ Shadow and dancefloor supremos Daft Punk.

If you reckon you’ve mastered mixing the 100 plus tracks available in DJ Hero, you can always add to your set-list by downloading new mixes via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. New singles will be available online from 24 November 2009, with artists such as Queen, 50 Cent and Public Enemy among those represented in the mix. Each downloadable single can be claimed in exchange for 300 Wii Points.
