Getting off the ground and into a high-speed race to the finish line is easy in Donkey Kong Jet Race. With the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers in your hands, you’ll be able to feel the excitement in every turn!
Alternately shake the Wii Remote and Nunchuk to increase your speed until you’ve reached Max Speed. (Max Speed will appear on-screen.)
Shake the Nunchuk to lead your racer left and shake the Wii Remote to move your racer right. Each shake guides your racer farther toward that direction.
To jump, simultaneously flick the Wii Remote and Nunchuk upward. If you alternately shake the controllers while airborne, you’ll hover in the air longer.
When you’re next to another racer, you can press the A Button to deliver an attack or the B Button to use an item you’ve collected.
After you’ve collected enough bananas, pull back on the Control Stick and then release it to gain a massive turbo boost.
If you hit another obstacle or someone knocks you off your barrel rocket, go back to Step 1 and get back on track!
Chaos reigns when the Kongs and Kremlings come together, and to win first place, they’d even run over their friends and family - literally. Each racer has his or her own strengths in boost, speed and agility. Whose style fits you best?
The king of the jungle, this balanced racer is great for beginners.
Despite his slow speed, Diddy’s above-average agility helps him get more bananas.
Lanky moves fast and would rather run over barrels than avoid them.
Tiny’s superior boost and good speed more than make up for her low agility.
Like Lanky, Funky’s a power racer who races with reckless abandon.
Like Donkey Kong, he’s well balanced and a good Kremling to start with.
Kip compares favourably to Diddy, and his quickness helps him avoid obstacles.
This sassy Kremling is quick with the boost and movement, but she has little speed.
Mixing average speed and boost with superior agility makes Kopter one tough Kremling.
Candy’s Challenges add even more fun to the wild Donkey Kong Jet Race action! Your mistress of ceremonies, Candy Kong, has put together four levels of challenges – one more difficult than the last. Each level contains four challenges, making 32 in all.
You’ll race as Donkey Kong in all the challenges as he attempts to clear all tasks Candy throws at him. Whether it’s smashing barrels, collecting bananas, avoiding obstacles or performing Wild Move combos, you’ll need to complete each scenario within a set amount of time.
In some challenges, you’ll need to help a computer-controlled racer claim victory by slowing down his or her opponent, and for the final challenge in each level, you’ll need to beat a computer opponent in a one-on-one race. If you win, you unlock that character and can race as him in the future, and once you’ve completed all the challenges, Candy rewards you with a special item!
Since each scenario keeps track of high scores, you can go back and play them again and again!
