Inspired by the Steven Spielberg-directed movie “The Adventures of Tintin”, this action-packed game for Wii puts you in control of the legendary red-headed reporter as he sets out to investigate the mystery of a lifetime. Lead Tintin to an incredible sunken treasure as you join forces with his quick-witted dog Snowy, the grumpy Captain Haddock and other colourful characters from both the Tintin movie and Hergé’s original comic books.
As you play through the game’s story mode you’ll travel the world and explore more than 20 locations, such as Captain Haddock’s ship the Karaboudjan and the moonlit deserts of the northern Sahara. Varied gameplay will see you swimming through underwater caves, navigating a plane in stormy skies and solving tricky puzzles as you put all of Tintin’s skills to work. You can also get creative as you tackle enemies, dropping banana peels to make them slip up, performing stealth attacks or interacting with the environment to stop them in their tracks. Nobody likes it when a candelabra drops on them from above, for example!
The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn - The Game also features 2-player fun in a special co-op mode. Taking place in the world of Captain Haddock’s dreams, this game mode will see you joining forces with a friend to tackle new challenges together. As you go you’ll unlock new characters to play with, as well as costumes for those characters to wear and abilities for them to use. It’s amazing what discoveries you can unearth when there are two of you on the case!
On top of the game’s story and co-op modes, you can put yourself to the test in the arcade-style Challenge Mode. Challenge Mode invites you to tackle three specific games in a bid to bag high scores. Pilot a plane, try your hand at sword fighting and race a sidecar as you attempt to shave seconds off record times, leave multiple enemies on their backs and more! In every challenge, you can opt to use the Wii Remote Plus controller or Wii MotionPlus accessory for even more precise control as you play.
