My name is Michael Ford. We are under attack.
It started with a bizarre weather system and increased water levels around Washington D.C. Then “The Bug” hit town, quarantining many in their homes with flu-like symptoms. In August, a terrorist attack on the Washington Monument ratcheted up the tension and when presidential candidate Harriet Reimer was recently assassinated, the situation finally reached breaking point…
Become Michael Ford, a former secret service agent, who’s been newly inducted into the ranks of the ‘Trust’ in the explosive first-person shooter “The Conduit” on Wii. Washington D.C. is under attack from the ‘Drudge’ – a hostile alien species with no reservations about hunting down and annihilating human life. The Trust has been set up to counter the enemy invasion and investigate the background to the invasion – the alien attack, the enemy‘s motive and the rumours of a government conspiracy that just won’t die.
As a special recruit for the Trust, you will have access to a wide range of destructive conventional artillery, including an assault rifle and rocket launcher, as well as a number of specially-developed weapons, built with the intention to counter the alien weaponry being used all across the city. The aliens are far from being your only enemies though – rogue agents have infiltrated the system and many humans have been violated by alien lifeforms, acting only as hosts to the repellent invaders.
In The Conduit, you’ll come across many other items that will prove essential to your mission. One of the most vital, which makes use of the gameplay possibilities offered by the unique Wii control system, is the ASE device (All-Seeing-Eye). Recovered by Michael Ford, the ASE allows him to detect hidden items and enemies by projecting a beam of light around his immediate surroundings. Search the terrain for clues and further sci-fi gadgets to aid you in your mission if you want to make it out alive.
In addition to completing the game as Michael Ford, you can also take on a whole gang of your friends as up to 12 people can compete in a fierce online battle via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Communicate through Wii Speak as you flex your trigger finger and claw your way to the top of the ranks.
So prime your weaponry and sharpen your focus for The Conduit on Wii – the fate of the nation is in your hands.
- Fight alien invaders and unravel a government conspiracy in a powerful storyline
- Battle online with up to 11 friends and communicate through Wii Speak (peripheral sold separately)
- Choose from a huge range of human and alien weapons
