The creative team behind canine hip-hop legend PaRappa the Rapper returns with another musical extravaganza that's a feast for your eyes and ears. Cutting-edge game designer Masaya Matsuura and celebrated New York artist Rodney Alan Greenblat have created a unique and unforgettable audio-visual world for you and your zany animal band to march through.
As Major Minor, you play a young cat on a mission. Your goal is to be the world's top drum major, leading a band of spirited animal pals through the vibrant 3D cartoon landscapes of Marchtown. The Wii Remote becomes your magical bandleader's baton, inherited from Major's great-grandmother. Motioning with the Wii Remote lets you dictate the rhythm of the band, while a well-timed wave of your baton will persuade animal bystanders to pick up an instrument and join your troupe. With 30 original characters to recruit as well as a huge variety of different brass, woodwind and percussion instruments for them to play, there'll always be a new combination for you to experiment with as you try to fine-tune your band.
Running a marching band is no easy task however, and you'll need to keep your band happy. March too fast, change tempos too abruptly or fail to keep a regular rhythm and you risk aggravating members of your band who may decide to vote with their feet and march straight back home.
As if disgruntled band members weren't enough to think about, you'll also have to use your whistle to lead your troupe around pitfalls including train tracks and car races and keep the show on the road. Luckily, you have a trusty side-kick in the shape of Tom, a drumming bear in a natty red uniform. Tom has heaps of useful tips on how to get your marching band in tip-top condition.
Along with the single-player Story Mode, there are a variety of other modes to enjoy. You can team up with a friend to lead the band together or compete to see who can lead the largest procession. You'll even have a chance to dazzle the crowd with your baton-twirling skills in Drill Mode. It's all in a day's work for a bandleader like Major Minor!
