Can you keep up with the rhythm?
16/03/2009
16th March 2009 - Put your sense of rhythm to the test with the catchy, crazy and fun new game set to join the roster of games for Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi in the UK on 1 May, 2009. With sales in Japan of over 1.6 million since it launched on the Nintendo DS, the key to this rhythm action game's success is its ease of use and brilliant simplicity
Holding the Nintendo DS or Nintendo DSi in the sideways book form, you tap, flick or slide the Touch Screen with the stylus in time with the rhythm of a catchy tune. The better you follow the beat and the actions, the higher your ranking will be. It's light hearted and engaging with no difficult rules or controls and so easy to learn, but still challenging to master.
All the action is pretty manic, featuring off-the-wall characters, graphics and colours. As you progress through the increasing levels of difficulty, helping to improve your sense of rhythm, you will keep the beat with dancing monkeys, karate chopping men, or even serenading lizards.
Each new challenge will begin with a tutorial that enables you to practice. Your live performance will then be ranked to show you how you've done! Do well and unlock new songs to master, or additional mini-games to play. If you perfect your performance, you can even unlock the music from the game to listen to whilst on the move. All the songs have been composed by famous Japanese producer "Tsunku"♂ which makes them toe-tappingly irresistible!
Rhythm Paradise offers more than 50 music based mini-games and rhythm toys - some quick and easy - some more involved to ensure the beat goes on! You can also test your endurance in the 'Endless' games where following the beat gets harder the longer you play, or enjoy virtual guitar lessons and even play DJ on a selection of sound samples.
You can choose your next song or challenge easily using the Touch Screen menu and with space for up to three different sets of data on your Nintendo DS or Nintendo DSi, you can even share your fun with different family members or friends!
Why not give it a go and see just how hard some beats are to resist!
Rhythm Paradise launches across the UK on 1 May and will be compatible with both Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi.
