  • In shops and on Nintendo eShop today: Sonic Lost World

    18/10/2013

Sonic returns today in Sonic Lost World, a brand new adventure that’s exclusive to Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS family of systems! After crash-landing on the mystical Lost Hex, the famous blue hedgehog comes face to face with his old adversary Dr. Eggman, but this time the dastardly doctor has half a dozen heinous helpers: the Deadly Six! It’ll take all Sonic’s new moves, Colour Powers and trademark speed to overcome this new threat and save the Lost Hex.

Armed with his new parkour moves, Sonic can now free run up and along walls and fluidly vault over obstacles, and unleash Colour Powers to reach new areas. With multiple routes to explore within levels, hidden collectibles and much more to discover, there’s no shortage of Sonic to go around!

Each version is also packed with unique content and gameplay to offer. In Sonic Lost World on Wii U, the Wii U GamePad gives you total control over Colour Powers, you can share and upgrade items with other players on Miiverse, and even play the whole adventure on the GamePad screen with Off-TV Play. Sonic Lost World on Nintendo 3DS is the first handheld Sonic game ever to feature fully realised 3D levels, and offers a range of online and local multiplayer modes, unique motion-controlled Special Stages, and Colour Powers you won’t find anywhere else. You can even connect both versions to share your radio-controlled gadgets!

Available while stocks last, the Deadly Six Edition of Sonic Lost World on Wii U contains an exclusive level in which Sonic’s sucked into a world of nightmares! Take on the Deadly Six who ride on gigantic Nightmaren monsters, and defeat them all to unlock a special Colour Power that's normally only accessible through Miiverse.

You can receive download codes for the additional level available in the Deadly Six Edition and five Black Bomb colour powers if you purchase Sonic Lost World from Nintendo eShop on your Wii U between 00:01 (UK time) on October 18th and 23:59 (UK time) on October 27th.
