How to Earn My Nintendo Points (Gold, Platinum, Etc)

There are many ways to earn My Nintendo Points:
- Platinum Points:
- Regular Platinum Points can be earned by completing missions related to the My Nintendo service.
- For a current list of active missions, click here. Missions related to smart device or tablet applications can also be viewed on-device.
- Platinum Points related to an application (like Super Mario Run Platinum Points) can be earned by completing missions related to smart device or tablet applications.
- Gold Points:
Gold Points are earned by purchasing and registering physical Nintendo Switch software released on or before 24 March 2025. Points are awarded based on the amount paid for the eligible purchase (excluding tax and any points or discounts used). A Nintendo Account is required to earn and redeem Gold Points. Terms apply.

- Physical software
- Gold Points are awarded at 1% of the Nintendo eShop price for the digital version of the game.
- Gold Points for physical games must be claimed within one year of the game’s original release date.
- A game card can only be registered one time. If it has already been registered by one Nintendo Account, it cannot be registered again with a different one.
- The physical game card must have been released on or before 24 March 2025 to be eligible for Gold Points.
- Other Items
- At Nintendo's discretion, certain purchases will not be eligible to earn Gold Points. As of 25 March 2025, digital software for Nintendo Switch no longer qualifies for Gold Points. Purchases of Nintendo 3DS or Wii U physical software and purchases of certain passes, Nintendo Switch Online memberships, automatic renewal for passes, in-game items and virtual currency are not eligible to earn Gold Points.
