How to Deregister a Nintendo Account's Pass-Enabled Console

Support | Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2

Follow these steps to deregister the pass-enabled console for your Nintendo Account.

    Note

    • Deregistering one console will allow you to select a different console as the pass-enabled console for your Nintendo Account. Each Nintendo Account can have one pass-enabled Nintendo Switch console at a time.
    • This feature is available in countries/regions where Nintendo eShop is available.

    Complete These Steps:

How would you like to deregister your pass-enabled Nintendo Switch console?

    1. Open Nintendo eShop on the HOME Menu.
    2. Select the Nintendo Account you want to deregister the pass-enabled console for.
    3. Select the picture of your icon in the upper-right corner to access your Account Information.
    4. Scroll down to the Pass-enabled console section.
    5. Select Deregister twice to confirm. If your account is set to require a sign-in, you will also need to sign in to your Nintendo Account to confirm.
    6. Repeat these steps for any additional Nintendo Accounts that you wish to deregister the pass-enabled console for.
    7. The next time you access Nintendo eShop, the console you use will automatically be set as your pass-enabled console.

Note: Deregistering a pass-enabled console through the Shop Menu website can only be done once per year. If you have the pass-enabled console available, we recommend deregistering on the console itself.

    1. Using a web browser, visit the Shop Menu (ec.nintendo.com/my) website.
    2. Sign in to the Nintendo Account you wish to deregister the pass-enabled console for.
    3. Scroll down and select Deregister as Pass-Enabled Console.
    4. Enter your Nintendo Account password.
    5. Go through the process on-screen to confirm.
    6. The next time you access Nintendo eShop from a Nintendo Switch console, the console you use will automatically be set as your pass-enabled console.
